Introduction

I’m a cell and developmental biology researcher fascinated by how living systems build, repair, and reinvent themselves. I began my journey with a BS-MS in Biology from IISER Mohali, studying retina regeneration in zebrafish. Since then, I’ve worked at NCBS in India and the Max Planck Institute for heart and lung research in Germany, investigating organ development and repair using zebrafish, mice, and chick models. Currently, I’m pursuing my PhD at Masaryk University in Czechia, focusing on how niche cells support skeletal stem cells and preserve skeletal homeostasis. Beyond the bench, I’m passionate about teaching and making science more accessible and more inclusive, especially for students from underprivileged backgrounds.
