Somnath Mondal

I am Somnath Mondal, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology (2018) and a Master’s degree in Zoology (2020), both from Vidyasagar University. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology under the supervision of Prof. Sam J. Mathew. My research is focused on developmental biology, with a particular emphasis on skeletal muscle development in mice. My project involves the use of muscle-specific knockout (KO) mouse models to investigate the functional role of a targeted gene in muscle development, differentiation, homeostasis, and regeneration following injury.
