Introduction

I am a basic science researcher and now conducting my Postdocoral training in the field of development of obesity and diabetes with a focus on adipose biology. I completed my PhD at Visva-Bharati University, India, where I investigated the molecular mechanism behind lipid-induced impairment of energy homeostasis in obese diabetic mice. In March 2022, I joined Dr. Michael Rudolph’s laboratory as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center to investigate how early life (neonatal) exposures to different fatty acids (FA) controls the fate of adipocyte stem cells (ASCs) to either beige or white adipocytes, thus impacting risk for metabolic disease later in life.
