Shivani Mishra

I am currently working in the lab of Prof. K VijayRaghavan, focused on understanding how the steering mechanisms underlying insect flight are assembled during development. My research investigates the developmental origins of the distinct firing properties—phasic and tonic—of adult flight motoneurons in Drosophila melanogaster, aiming to uncover how these specialized physiological identities emerge during metamorphosis.
