Saumitra Dey Choudhury

I am a neurogeneticist by training. I have earned my PhD degree under the mentorship of Dr. Vimlesh Kumar from IISER Bhopal. I then went on to do my post-doctoral training at NICHD, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda with Dr. Mihaela Serpe. I returned back to India in early 2021 having joined AIIMS, New Delhi where I am working as a Scientist in the Centralized Core Research Facility (CCRF). I am currently involved in setting up the Microscopy core facility here and am involved in training graduate students and investigators on imaging applications. My core research interests lie in understanding synapse development and homeostasis.
