Introduction

I am a PhD scholar at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, working in Prof. Mahendra Sonawane’s lab under the ARUMDA project group. My research leverages zebrafish as a model system to understand how nutrition and metabolic factors during development shape physiology and predispose to metabolic disorders later in life. My broader interests encompass developmental biology, metabolic signaling, and the DOHaD (Developmental Origins of Health and Disease) framework, with a focus on dissecting molecular mechanisms using integrative experimental and analytical approaches. I am committed to advancing our understanding of organismal development and translating these insights towards improving health outcomes.
