Introduction

Dr. Dhananjay Huilgol did his PhD with Prof. Shubha Tole at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), India. He studied novel neuronal migrations in the mouse olfactory system for his thesis. He then pursued postdoctoral fellowship with Prof. Z Josh Huang at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, USA and Duke University, USA where he worked on the development of cortical projection neurons. He is a new faculty member at the National Brain Research Centre focusing on the role of progenitors in the diversification of forebrain projection neurons.
