Amrit Patra

I completed my BS-MS Dual Degree, majoring in Biological Sciences, from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Berhampur, Berhampur. During my final (5th) year, I was fortunate to work in the lab of Dr. Vinay Bulusu, IISER Berhampur. My Master’s thesis titled - “Understanding the metabolic regulation of limb development in chick embryos” was aimed at understanding how metabolism plays a role in embryonic development. Gratefully, I am continuing the study in the same lab trying to unravel the functional relevance of metabolism in embryonic development. Apart from science, the things that kindle the fire in my soul are philosophy, movies, and music.
