Our limbs are complex structures that develop from a relatively simple “limb bud” structure. How does this simple bud know how to develop into a functional limb? What cues act on the tissue to define which region forms the digit, and which the inter-digit space? One of the instructive signals that leads to this patterning is the Wnt pathway.
This week, Rridhi leads the discussion on the role of Wnt in controlling mouse limb bud outgrowth and establishment of the digit-interdigit pattern.
